Ex-boyfriend confronts former lover and steals her purse at Walmart

An Ocklawaha man was arrested after confronting his ex-girlfriend in a Walmart and stealing her purse to get her to leave with him.

An officer responded to a robbery at an undisclosed Leesburg residence around 9:55 p.m. Tuesday, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. A woman had her purse stolen by her ex-boyfriend, 40-year-old Antonio Jose Duran Parcia, at Walmart, located at 2501 Citrus Blvd.

Upon arrival, the officer met with ex-girlfriend in front of the residence. She advised that at 7:30 p.m., she had been dropped off at Walmart by a friend after seeing her ex-husband in Lady Lake. While she was inside shopping, Duran Parcia confronted her in the electronics department, the report said.

He had followed her from her ex-husband’s house and wanted to know why she was there. They argued for a bit, and he grabbed her to get her to go with him. She refused, so he grabbed her purse from underneath her arm, the report said…
