A Leesburg pair was arrested after an officer found narcotics in the passenger’s underwear and the driver’s shirt pocket while stopped at Wawa.
An officer noticed a dark pickup truck that did not have a visible tag from up to 50ft near West North Boulevard around 3:50 a.m. Wednesday, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. He stopped the vehicle at Wawa, located at 1400 W. North Blvd., and met with 58-year-old Lori Ann Morgan and 56-year-old Robert Jack Marotta.
While the officer wrote a traffic infraction, a K-9 unit responded to the scene to assist. The K-9 sniffed around the outside vehicle and positively alerted to the presence of narcotics, leading to a search of the vehicle, the report said.
The officer found a green purse on the passenger seat where Morgan was sitting. Inside was a blue container with a glass smoking pipe, which had burnt narcotics residue. This was consistent with the consumption of narcotics, the report said…
