If you find yourself driving on U.S. 301 through Wildwood, you will find a historic 100-year old building called Miz Kathi’s Cotillion Southern Café. This amazing little cafe brings the heart of old Florida to the table, one plate of comfort food at a time.
Owner Kathi Vincent, a ninth-generation Floridian, opened the restaurant in 2008 after her husband spotted a “for rent” sign on the weathered former Bank of Wildwood, a structure that’s stood for more than a century. The timing felt right. After years spent cooking for her six children and catering on the side, Kathi was ready to bring her passion to the public. And that’s exactly what she did.
Alongside buttermilk biscuits, omelets, and cakes that taste like they were made in a Southern grandmother’s kitchen, The Cotillion’s menu is packed full of delicious items and it’s certainly a must try breakfast destination. The lunch menu is also delicious and if you are in town, you have to check out what is next door.
Just steps away is Miz Kathi’s Southern Sweetery, a sister shop devoted to decadent desserts and baked goods, all made from scratch. For those eager to take a taste of the Cotillion home, Vincent also offers a cookbook featuring some of her favorite recipes.
The café has become a beloved staple in Wildwood, drawing locals and residents who want a taste of what Ole Southern Florida serves up. The cafe and sweeter is located at 101 Main Street in Wildwood. It’s right near the CSX Train Station…
