Bag of meth falls out of nervous woman’s pants during traffic stop

An Okahumpka woman was arrested after a baggie of methamphetamine fell out of her pants during a traffic stop.

An officer saw a silver Jeep, driven by 58-year-old Cynthia Aspinwall Roberts, stop over the stop bar at an intersection on Myer Avenue at 11:25 p.m. Friday, according to an arrest report from the Fruitland Park Police Department.

The officer initiated a traffic stop near County Road 468 and Montclair Road. The vehicle continued on for a short distance before braking hard. It kept going a little bit until it came to an abrupt stop, the report said.

Upon approaching the vehicle, the officer spoke to Roberts and the female passenger in the front seat. He asked Roberts for her driver’s license, registration and proof of insurance. He noticed she was extremely nervous, as seen by her rapid shallow breathing, frantic movements, lack of eye contact and rapid speaking, the report said…
