Villagers line up at 4:15 a.m. to be first ALDI customers

Villagers Sherry and Ed Davidson lined up at 4:15 a.m. Thursday to be the first customers to cross the threshold of the new ALDI supermarket at Lake Sumter Landing.

The Davidsons are true-blue fans who have been shopping at ALDI since 1980. The Village of Mira Mesa couple said they love everything about ALDI.

“Their prices are amazing,” Sherry Davidson said.

The former residents of the Chicago suburbs were not alone in their pre-dawn arrival at ALDI.
