A Wildwood man was arrested after driving with a suspended license and violating his probation.
An officer observed a silver Chevrolet Avalanche headed east on Huey Street around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. A check of the registration revealed the owner, 42-year-old Purcell Lee Corbin, had a suspended driver’s license.
So, the officer turned on his overhead lights for a traffic stop. The vehicle did not stop, and the siren was activated, as well. The vehicle still did not stop, and the officer changed the siren pattern in an effort to get it to do so, the report said.
Corbin turned on his emergency flashers and started waving his right arm. The vehicle continued until it turned left into the Cypress Commons, located at 775 Huey St. It then stopped in the parking lot of the apartment complex, the report said…
