A Pennsylvania man was arrested for trespassing when an employee at Kangaroo Express found him sleeping on the property.
An officer responded to a complaint of a suspicious person at Kangaroo Express, located at 11025 U.S. Hwy. 441, at 7:25 a.m. Wednesday, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. An employee had found 28-year-old Thomas Jacob Saunders sleeping on the east side of the property.
Saunders was still asleep when the officer got there. He ultimately gave his name and date of birth, which were passed on to dispatch. They advised that he had been trespassed from the property on July 7. He was told that he was not allowed, licensed or invited to be on the property, the report said.
Saunders stated he knew he was not supposed to be on the property. He was there to check on an elderly person who was not on the scene when law enforcement arrived, the report said…
