A Leesburg woman was arrested for driving with a suspended license after being stopped for expired registration.
A deputy observed 40-year-old Angela Crumpler in a white sedan headed west on State Road 44 and County Road 219 in Wildwood at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. A check of the license plate revealed the registration expired on July 6.
Due to this, the deputy stopped the vehicle and spoke to Crumpler. She was hesitant to hand over her driver’s license at his request. When asked a second time, she admitted that her license was suspended, the report said.
A check of Crumpler’s driving history showed her license was suspended for multiple offenses, and she had been convicted for driving with a suspended license several times. She had no felony convictions or suspensions for anything other than financial reasons, the report said…
