A drunk driving suspect was found passed out in a running car at a recreation center in The Villages.
Biao Zhu, 43, was spotted at 9:44 a.m. Saturday in a white Volkswagen utility vehicle in the parking lot of the Rohan Recreation Center, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. Zhu was “lying in the back seat of the vehicle” and the engine was running. There were empty beer cans and vodka bottles seen in the vehicle.
A deputy informed Zhu he was on private property and would need to move the vehicle. Zhu said he could not drive due to the fact he had consumed alcohol. He also said he is homeless.
Zhu took part in field sobriety exercises, but his poor performance led the deputy to conclude he was impaired. He provided breath samples that registered .185 and .179 blood alcohol content…
