The Florida Department of Transportation is hosting an open house to inform the public about proposed plans to spend $11.7 million to resurface and widen a stretch of State Road 40 in Marion County, as well as realign the roadway near a sharp curve to “improve safety.”
The forum will be held on Tuesday, July 29, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at St. Johns Church of Cotton Plant, which is located at 12390 County Road 328 in Ocala.
The purpose of the project is to resurface the roadway between U.S. Highway 41 and SW 119th Avenue, just west of Ocala.
