The sons of a deceased Villager are trying to clean up the property they have inherited.
The home at 299 Leesville St. in the Village of Caroline was the subject of a deed compliance hearing Friday before the Community Development District 6 Board of Supervisors at SeaBreeze Recreation Center.
A complaint was received April 14 by Community Standards about weeds, dead grass and mold on the home. The violations about weeds and dead grass were verified, but it turned out the reported mold was actually a discoloration of the siding on the home, according to testimony presented at the public hearing.
Melvin Graeven and his wife purchased the home in 2006 for $165,500. He died in 2024. Community Standards indicated she is also deceased…
