Girlfriend upset over possible cheating allegedly uses golf club to hit boyfriend on head

A Leesburg woman was arrested for battery after allegedly hitting her boyfriend on the head with a golf club over claims of cheating.

Officers responded to a battery at an undisclosed Leesburg residence around 5:10 p.m. Tuesday, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. Upon arrival, they met with the boyfriend of 36-year-old India Taccara Blount.

He advised that he had been dating Blount for five years, and she lived with him. He did not want to talk about what happened because she would go to jail. Still, the officers saw a red mark on his forehead, and he mentioned having golf clubs outside. He was unsure which one was used in the incident and was unwilling to help in the investigation, the report said.

The officers instead spoke to an independent witness who stated Blount came to the residence, got out of her vehicle and started yelling that her boyfriend was cheating on her. She hit his vehicle with a golf club before he came outside. She then hit him on the head with the golf club. Her boyfriend tried to grab it from her, but they struggled and fell to the ground together, the report said…
