Boy, what a difference in the condition of the executive golf courses now compared to when my wife and I moved here in 2011. Back then you couldn’t tell the difference between a championship or executive course. Now there is no comparison. Most of the executive greens are nothing but weeds and dirt, lumpy and bumpy and very slow. The tee boxes are no better. When I have guests, I hate to say that I have to book our tee times off campus because I’m embarrassed by the conditions and also because it’s difficult to get a tee time with all the course closures. Speaking of closures…… I played Pelican last week and I would like to know after closing it for as long as they did and spending over a million dollars to renovate the greens and tees it could be in such bad shape. It looked as if nothing was done! Where did all the money go? If you are dissatisfied with the executive course conditions please join me in sending a email to the golf course maintenance department at: [email protected]
Also, their next meeting will be Monday August 11th at 8:30 a.m. at the SeaBreeze Rec Center. Please try to attend…
