A drunk driving suspect landed in jail after drinking beer he bought at Publix.
Jose Francisco Correa Luna, 30, of Wildwood, was pulled over Saturday afternoon in connection with a possible hit and run crash, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. During the traffic stop, it was clear that the native of Mexico does not speak English, so a bilingual officer was summoned to the scene. Correa Luna admitted he’d consumed two to three beers.
Two open cans of Pacifico beer were found in his vehicle. There were also 11 unopened cans of Pacifico beer in his car. Offices found two Publix receipts showing the Correa Luna had purchased the beer…
