Deputies found an unconscious driver in a vehicle at a shopping plaza in The Villages.
Law enforcement was summoned at about 5 a.m. Sunday to the Circle K at Mulberry Grove Plaza where 31-year-old Zackary Tyler Johnson of Summerfield was found unconscious in the driver’s seat of a white Dodge Caravan, according to an arrest report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. He was parked directly in front of the entrance to the Circle K convenience store.
A deputy used a “verbal stimulus” to rouse Johnson, who had a $1 bill and plastic bag in his hand. The bag contained a white powder residue. As Johnson woke up and realized what was happening, he tried to hide the bag. The bag was seized and the residue tested positive for fentanyl.
