A Georgia man was arrested for driving in an uninsured vehicle while his license was suspended.
An officer observed 23-year-old Sire Shyheim Todd driving a silver Honda Accord northbound on U.S. Hwy. 301 around 12:50 p.m. Monday, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. He noticed the decal on the tag said “DEC 2024,” indicating the registration expired, and the front windshield cracked in front of the driver’s view.
As a result, he stopped the vehicle at Hardee’s, located at 404 S Main St. He then asked Todd for his driver’s license, insurance and motor vehicle registration. Todd handed over a Georgia license but did not have a valid insurance card or registration for his vehicle, the report said.
Todd called his mother on the phone and told her the situation. She was trying to buy motor vehicle liability insurance for him during the traffic stop. Meanwhile, the officer ran his information through dispatch and learned his license was suspended. The vehicle also had no valid insurance with a $25 insurance lapse fee, the report said…
