A Leesburg woman was arrested after allegedly pepper spraying her roommate after he demanded she pay the remaining balance of the rent.
Leesburg officers responded to an undisclosed apartment complex at about 2:30 p.m. Aug. 1 after dispatch received a call regarding a battery.
When the officers met with the victim they noted that he had redness on his left bicep and an orange in color liquid throughout his back, according to the police report. He told the officers that his roommate, 25-year-old Amari Z. Wooden, had begun to collect her belongings after announcing she was, “Moving out.” He demanded that Wooden pay the remaining rent and stood in front of Wooden’s belongings while demanding the rent money, according to the police report. He told police that Wooden shoved him and sprayed him with pepper spray. Wooden then left the apartment and went to a residence on Seaview Drive in Leesburg.
