A 34-year-old resident of The Villages has been ordered not to consume alcohol as the result of a recent drunk driving arrest.
Rachel Elissa Yanofsky, who lists an address in the Village of Mira Mesa, will lose her driver’s license for six months, has been put on probation for one year and has been ordered to perform 50 hours of community service after pleading no contest this past week in Lake County Court to a charge of driving under the influence. She has also been ordered to seek an alcohol evaluation, follow any recommended treatment and not to consume alcohol during her probationary period.
Yanofsky was driving a white SUV shortly before midnight May 24 on State Road 25 when she was caught on radar traveling at 77 miles per hour in a 50 mph zone, according to an arrest report from the Fruitland Park Police Department.
During a traffic stop, it appeared the native of Romania was intoxicated. When asked if she had been drinking, Yanofsky replied, “Oh yeah!”…
