A Leesburg man was arrested for battery after allegedly strangling his girlfriend in front of her apartment complex.
Officers responded to the parking lot of Pat’s Sales, located at 1095 N 14th St., regarding a battery around 11 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. Upon arrival, they met with the girlfriend of 41-year-old Michael Lamont Pinkard Masoline.
She advised that the incident happened in front of her residence at the Birchwood apartment complex, located at 1023 Birchwood Ct #2. He had battered her during an argument by hitting her, biting her face and choking her. He cut off her air supply while choking her, and she could not breathe. He also struck her on the left side of her head with a glass bottle, the report said.
Pinkard Masoline then took his phone from her and took off running. His last known located at North 14th Street in front of Gateway Plaza. She did not request medical attention but sustained fresh scratches on the left side of her neck, the report said…
