Leesburg man allegedly eaves Dollar General with $106 in items under shirt

A Leesburg man was given a court date after hiding $106 of merchandise under his shirt and leaving Dollar General.

An officer responded to Dollar General, located at 3356 W Main St., regarding a petit retail theft involving 28-year-old Angel Luis Roman Bonilla at 5:35 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, according to a case report from the Leesburg Police Department.

Upon arrival, he met with the manager who saw Roman Bonilla come into the store and pick up merchandise from the shelves. He then went further into an aisle to stash items under his shirt and in his shorts. He proceeded to the next aisle where he looked in multiple directions before making his way to the exit, the report said.

The manager pointed him out to law enforcement, and he was taken back to the store to return $106 in stolen items. These included four Colgate OW Stains, six pink Dove soaps, a Schick product, Elf serum, RX oral care, ELF moisturizer, two LDS P12 low cuts and a Crest Bril Pro, the report said…
