A Leesburg man was given a court date for trespassing when an officer spotted him inside a city bathroom after hours.
An officer checked Downtown Main Street whenever he saw a couple people inside the city bathroom at 305 W Main Street around 2:20 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, according to a case report from the Leesburg Police Department. One of these subjects was identified as 42-year-old Jonathan Leonard Burks.
He advised that he was just using the restroom despite knowing it closed at 5 p.m. A check through dispatch revealed he had already been trespassed from there on July 6, the report said.
Burks was issued a misdemeanor citation for trespass after warning. He was given a court date of Sept. 9 and released from the scene…
