Habitual traffic offender to appear in court for running stop sign with suspended license

A Leesburg man will soon appear in court after being stopped for running a stop sign as a habitual traffic offender with a suspended license.

A trooper observed 31-year-old Miachel Charles Green in a tan Toyota Camry in Clermont at 5 a.m. Friday, Aug. 15, according to an arrest report from the Florida Highway Patrol. He watched as the vehicle approached the stop sign at the intersection of Wellness Way and Schofield Road.

As the Camry got to the sign, it did not stop and turned right onto Schofield Road. The trooper subsequently stopped the vehicle. Green advised that he did not actually have a driver’s license and was just trying to be honest with the trooper up front, the report said.

The trooper checked Green’s driving history and learned he was a habitual traffic offender. Green then explained his driving record, the report said…
