Florida Woman Cashes In On $1 Million Lottery Scratch-Off Prize

The Florida Lottery announced that an Ocala woman has claimed a $1 million prize from the $1,000,000 A YEAR FOR LIFE SPECTACULAR Scratch-Off game. Jennifer Hatchett, 47, chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $640,000.

Hatchett purchased her winning ticket at Medical Food Mart, located at 2534 S.E. 17th Street in Ocala. She claimed her prize on May 8 at the Florida Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.

The $50 game offers players a chance to win one of two top prizes of $1 million a year for life, or one of 234 prizes of $1 million. The game has over $1.6 billion in total cash prizes and the overall odds of winning are 1-in-4.50…
