A Summerfield man was arrested for driving with a license that had been suspended on Monday for delinquent child support.
A deputy observed 50-year-old Daniel James Cole in a camouflage Dodge Ram pickup truck in Lady Lake around 6:35 p.m. Tuesday, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. The tag was covered in black residue, making it unreadable.
The deputy subsequently stopped the vehicle at the intersection of Northeast 139th and 86th Drives. Cole advised that he did not have his driver’s license with him at the time, instead giving his full name and date of birth. Using this information, dispatch revealed his license was suspended for delinquent child support as of Monday, the report said.
Further investigation showed Cole was notified of the suspension on Aug. 4. He also had one prior conviction for driving while license suspended, the report said…
