A traffic stop at a local Burger King restaurant led to the arrest of a suspected windshield smasher.
Clarence Patterson Jr., 48, of Wildwood, was a passenger in a vehicle at about 2 p.m. Thursday on State Road 44 in Wildwood when it was pulled over in the Burger King parking lot, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.
During the traffic stop, Patterson was found holding an open beer. A check revealed that Patterson was wanted on warrants charging him with burglary and criminal mischief.
