Lady Lake woman who lost license after DUI caught back behind wheel

A Lady Lake woman was arrested for driving with a license suspended for driving under the influence.

Officers ran the tag from an orange Ford Focus in the area of U.S. Hwy. 27/441 and Griffinview Drive around 12:15 a.m. Wednesday, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. They learned the registered owner, 53-year-old Ileana Rivera, only had a Florida ID and not a driver’s license.

They watched as Rivera got into the vehicle and left the Sunoco gas station, located at 413 U.S. Hwy. 27/441. They then stopped her at the intersection of Griffinview Drive and Ivanhoe Circle, the report said.

She stated she knew she only had an ID, but she was waiting for a restricted license to be issued to her. Sh also admitted her license had been suspended for a DUI conviction in Connecticut…
