Villager ordered to remove poison ivy from plant in her front yard

Poison ivy growing on a plant in the front yard was an issue for a home at 2504 Landale Loop in the Village of Hadley owned by Janet A. Scouten.

Community Development District 7 supervisors found the property out of compliance after a public hearing Thursday and ordered violations remedied in seven days.

A complaint about the poison ivy was received June 27 and verified three days later with an inspection, said Shannon Boyd of Community Standards.

Staff were unable to reach the owner, but finally contacted her daughter, who said she would contact the company responsible for maintenance. But a Sept. 2 inspection found the property still out of compliance…
