An Ocala man was arrested for trespassing despite being given several warnings and arguing he had committed no crime at Circle K.
A deputy responded to Circle K, located at 2211 Citrus Blvd., Leesburg, to trespass 46-year-old Jerrell Leonard Luther around 3:50 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
Upon arrival, the deputy met with an attendant who advised that she asked Luther to leave the property. The deputy then asked him to leave, and he wanted to argue that he committed no crime and had no reason to leave. He ultimately walked off the property as instructed, the report said.
As the deputy started to leave, Luther stepped back onto the property to walk to the front doors of the gas station. The attendant wanted him trespassed, and he was told to stay at the hood of the patrol vehicle. He was informed that he was not allowed back on the property for any reason, and if he crossed from the sidewalk into the parking lot again, he would be arrested, the report said…
