An Orlando man was arrested for towing an unregistered trailer without a driver’s license during a traffic stop at CVS.
An officer observed 21-year-old Felipe Santos DeSouza driving a blue Honda Pilot south on U.S. 301 around 3 p.m. Friday, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. The vehicle was towing a single axle commercial REEL trailer with no tag affixed to it. There were also no working lights on the trailer.
The officer subsequently stopped the vehicle in the CVS parking lot, located at 901 S Main St. DeSouza quickly got out and ran over to the other side of the vehicle to swap with the passenger. The officer still asked DeSouza for his license and the trailer’s registration, but he did not have a license, the report said.
He instead gave his name and showed the officer a picture of a Brazilian passport on his phone. The officer again asked for his license, and he stated he did not have one. He asked both occupants for the registration card, and neither had it, the report said…
