Woman pulled out of vehicle and arrested in Denny’s parking lot

A Leesburg woman was pulled out of her vehicle and arrested after trespassing outside Denny’s.

Officers responded to Denny’s, located at 2480 Citrus Blvd., regarding 56-year-old Diane Elizabeth Cassidy loitering on the property around 10:50 p.m. Tuesday, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. The caller advised that she had been trespassed before but was outside in the parking lot.

Upon arrival, the officers found Cassidy in the passenger seat of a white 2024 Hyundai SUV. They asked her why she was there, and she believed she was never trespassed from the area. However, the LPD’s database revealed she had indeed been trespassed on March 7, the report said.

An officer explained the situation to her and commanded her to step out of the vehicle multiple times. She refused, trying to argue about her not being trespassed. Soon after, the officer grabbed her arms, pulled her out of the vehicle and arrested her, the report said…
