A Leesburg man was arrested after being stopped with a revoked license in a vehicle with an unassigned tag.
An officer observed a dark Chevrolet sedan parked in front of a known narcotics location near North Truett Street at 1 a.m. Monday, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. The vehicle’s lights turned on, but when the driver, 43-year-old Justin Conrad Maltz, noticed the patrol vehicle, he turned the lights back off.
The officer moved his vehicle, and Maltz drove out of his parking spot. As more officers watched the Chevrolet approach the intersection of Karl Street and South Lone Oak, they noticed the back window tint appeared to be quite dark, raising suspicion. They then stopped Maltz at South Lone Oak and South Streets, the report said.
The officers tested the window tint, which exceeded the legal limit, before asking Maltz for ID. He advised that he did not currently have his driver’s license and was working to resolve the issue.
