A man who admitted to drinking “two beers” was arrested after rear-ending a woman’s pickup early Saturday morning on Interstate 75 in Oxford.
The woman and her female passenger had been northbound on I-75 at around 1 a.m. in a gray 2006 Ford pickup when they noticed a 2017 Toyota Camry closing in on them at an “excessive speed,” according to an arrest report from the Florida Highway Patrol. The truck was struck from behind by the fast-moving Toyota Camry.
The woman driving the pickup suffered neck pain and EMS personnel were called to examine her injuries.
A trooper interviewed the driver of the Toyota Camry, identified as 31-year-old Tyler Elston Grimm of Belleview. He had slurred speech and the trooper noticed the odor of alcohol coming from Grimm’s breath. Grimm said he had “two beers” at a Glory Days bar and was on his way home…
