A 33-year-old resident of The Villages who became argumentative with police and refused to provide a urine sample won’t be prosecuted on a charge of driving under the influence.
The prosecutor’s office has announced no information will be filed in the case of Skaila Elisa Angulo of the Village of Valle Verde.
She was driving a brown Kia sedan on the evening of June 16 on U.S. Hwy. 441 when she was pulled over by an officer with the Leesburg Police Department. The officer suspected Angulo had been driving impaired.
During a traffic stop, Angulo began arguing with the officer when she was asked to step out of her car, according to the arrest report. She agreed to take part in field sobriety exercises, but her performance led the officer to conclude she had been driving under the influence.
