I moved to Davie in 1982 and saw horse farms disappear. Ocala is suffering the same fate.

I am writing this as I am riding my horse down Orange Drive to go to Wolf Lake.

I moved to Davie, Florida, in 1982. There was 15 to 17 barns/stables/ranches, and maybe 200+ horses in the downtown area.

Today, we are down to 5 to 6 barns…
