An Apopka man was arrested for driving with a revoked license after being stopped for speeding on State Road 44.
An officer observed 54-year-old Manuel Alberto Reyes Rodriguez speeding in a Ford panel van on State Road 44 around 2:45 p.m. Thursday, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. Radar showed he was going 53 miles per hour in a 35 mph zone.
The officer then stopped Reyes Rodriguez to ask for his license and registration. A record check revealed his license had been revoked on July 27, 2023, for being a habitual traffic offender due to four driving while license suspended/revoked convictions that stemmed from financial obligations, the report said.
Reyes Rodriguez had lived at the same address on his license since mid-2023, where the notice was received. He stated he spoke to someone at the DHSMV who said he was eligible for a business purpose license, but he never got one, the report said…
