Speeding motorcyclist arrested near entrance to Brownwood

A speeding motorcyclist with a suspended license was arrested near the entrance to Brownwood in The Villages.

An officer spotted 29-year-old Daunte Gordon of Belleviw speeding southbound in Wildwood on a motorcycle around 3:50 p.m. Wednesday, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. Radar confirmed he was going 50 miles per hour in a 35-mph zone, and he had no eye protection as well as no plate attached to the back of the motorcycle.

Seeing this, the officer stopped Gordon on Kiessel Road, near the entrance to Brownwood. He did not have registration and instead handed over a title with no date. He stated he had the motorcycle for a few weeks but failed to register it or get insurance, the report said.

A record check revealed Gordon’s license had been suspended twice on April 14 for failure to appear on a traffic summons out of Marion County. When asked about it, he was aware it had been suspended. He also had a warrant out of Marion County, the report said…
