A Leesburg man was arrested for driving with a suspended license due to thinking he did not need one to use a motorcycle.
A deputy spotted 29-year-old Kollin Robert Cassidy riding a motorcycle in Leesburg at 11:05 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. A check of the tag revealed he had only an ID card and five prior convictions for driving while license suspended.
As such, the deputy stopped Cassidy at State Road 500 and Blossom Lane. He admitted to not having a license but stated he did not know he needed to have one to use a motorcycle in Florida. He did not have a motorcycle endorsement, either, the report said…
