Habitual traffic offender arrested after blinding other drivers with high beams

A Fruitland Park man was arrested for driving with a suspended license after being stopped for blinding other drivers with his high beams.

An officer observed 43-year-old Tredale Charles Langston driving a white Toyota Camry southbound on U.S. Hwy. 27/441 at 11:50 p.m. Sunday, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. The vehicle had its high beams on, blinding other drivers.

The officer subsequently stopped Langston at the intersection with Sunrise Road. When asked for his driver’s license, he advised that he had only an ID. This was used to determine he had been convicted of driving while license suspended six times, with the most recent being on Jan. 30, 2019, the report said.

His license had also been revoked for five years on March 11, 2019, for being a habitual traffic offender. However, he did not have it reinstated, the report said…
