A Leesburg woman was arrested for battery after admitting to throwing iced tea on her daughter during an argument over laundry.
A deputy responded to a verbal altercation involving 54-year-old Tammy Colleen Kelley and her daughter at an undisclosed Leesburg residence at 10 p.m. Monday, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
Upon arrival, he met with the daughter who stated she was in an argument with Kelley that started over laundry. Kelley threw a drink on her, took her phone and threw it. She then left the property before law enforcement got there, the report said.
The deputy saw the daughter’s clothes and hair were indeed wet. She also could not find her phone, and she believed Kelley may have taken it. He tried to call her phone multiple times without success, as it went straight to voicemail. Kelley’s phone did the same, the report said…
