A Wildwood woman was arrested for battery after allegedly hitting her mother when she refused to give her a cigarette.
An officer responded to a physical disturbance between 32-year-old Dionshae Tyria Nelson and her mother at 400 Peters St. at 9:05 a.m. Saturday, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department.
Upon arrival, the officer met with the mother outside the residence. She advised that Nelson had asked her for a cigarette while she was lying on her bed. She refused to give her one, causing Nelson to become irate and shove several items off the dresser right next to where her mother was laying, the report said.
Nelson shattered a glass nail polish bottle in the process. She then struck her mother on the right side of her head above her right ear, the report said…
