A Belleview man was arrested for battery after spitting on a staff member trying to calm him down at LifeStream.
An officer responded to LifeStream Behavioral Center, located at 2020 Tally Rd., regarding 34-year-old Stephen Dennaro Johnson battering staff around 11:10 a.m. Sunday, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department.
Upon arrival, the officer met with a certified nurse assistant at the facility who advised that Johnson became combative in the treatment area. Several staff members then restrained him and tried to inject him with something to calm him down. During this process, he intentionally spit in the CNA’s face, the report said.
Johnson later admitted to spitting on her. When asked why, he stated he was experiencing “dark thoughts,” the report said…
