Wanted man caught with meth and burnt foil in his underwear

A Wildwood man was arrested on drug charges when officers found burnt foil at his feet and in his underwear during a traffic stop.

An officer observed a pickup truck, occupied by 30-year-old Edward Anthony Fuchs, traveling south on U.S. Hwy. 27/441 around 2:15 a.m. Saturday, according to an arrest report from the Fruitland Park Police Department. As the vehicle got closer to the intersection with Miller Street, it drifted from the far-right lane into the middle lane. It then drove in both lanes.

A check of the plate revealed the registered owner had been stopped on July 13, 2024, with Fuchs as a passenger. A check of his driver’s license showed he had a Lake County warrant. Seeing this, the officer stopped the vehicle at Citrus Boulevard and Indian Trail in Leesburg, the report said.

The officer then approached the vehicle from the driver’s side to see the registered owner in the driver’s seat, a female passenger in the middle seat and Fuchs sitting to the far right. A K-9 unit responded to the scene, after which all occupants were asked to step out of the vehicle, the report said…
