Homeless man accused of stealing medication, debit card while working for Ocala senior

A homeless man with over a dozen prior theft convictions is facing multiple felony charges after he allegedly stole medications and a debit card from an elderly Ocala man who was paying him for yard work.

In late August, the Ocala Police Department launched an investigation after an elderly victim reported that a bag containing his medications and debit card had been stolen, according to the arrest report.

An officer noted in the report that the victim was hospitalized for a total of 17 days in August. Several days prior to that hospitalization, the victim allegedly “engaged in a business relationship” with a man, identified as Ishmel Glasco Braddock, Jr., with the agreement that Braddock would do yard work for the victim…
