A felon with a gun was identified by his facial tattoo after he was found under a tarp in Lady Lake.
Officers were looking for 26-year-old Augustine Garza on Monday morning when they found him sitting under a tarp on Temple Hill Road, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. Garza was wanted on a Lake County warrant charging him with violating his probation. When officers approached Garza, he would only identify himself as “Tony.” He claimed he had no identification.
An officer became aware that Garza had a facial tattoo after checking his driver’s license photo, which was accessible via a computer check. The officer noted that Garza’s facial tattoo matched the tattoo in the driver’s license photo. Garza was found to be in possession of a Ruger firearm.
