A Summerfield man was arrested at Family Dollar in Wildwood with a license that had been suspended for driving under the influence and other traffic offenses.
An officer observed 65-year-old Robert Edward Goetz driving a beige 2008 Ford Focus northbound on U.S. 301 around 2:15 p.m. Tuesday, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. A check of the tag revealed he had no driver’s license.
The officer subsequently stopped the vehicle in the parking lot of Family Dollar, located at 400 N Main St. Dispatch advised that he had multiple suspensions for refusal to submit to breathe, urine or blood tests, failure to pay court financial obligation, felony possession of a controlled substance and DUI. These offenses dated from May 2001 through April 2012, the report said.
Further investigation later revealed he had three previous convictions for driving while license suspended from 2024, 2009 and 2006, all in Marion County, the report said…
