An Eatonville man was arrested for driving with a suspended license on the way to get something to eat from McDonald’s.
An officer observed 61-year-old Lee Curry Cobb driving a black GMC Sierra pickup truck on Marsh Bend Trail around 1:35 p.m. Monday, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. A check of the tag revealed the registered owner had an expired driver’s license, and the secondary registered owner had a suspended license.
The officer stopped the vehicle on Gordon Path in the Village of McClure. Cobb confirmed his license had expired. He instead handed over an ID and stated he was only driving to McDonald’s to get something to eat, the report said.
Cobb’s driving history showed his license was suspended multiple times for failure to pay financial obligations. He also had 14 prior convictions for driving while license suspended.
