A Wildwood couple found themselves behind bars after a disturbance in the wee hours at the Sandalwood Condominiums.
A deputy responded to Sandalwood Condominiums across from the Village of Chitty Chatty around 12:40 a.m. Friday, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. Upon arrival, he found 31-year-old John Christian Bass and 28-year-old Gail Meredith Nosal standing next to a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
The front driver’s side window of the vehicle was busted out, and the windshield wiper was broken off on the same side. As the deputy went to talk to Bass, he immediately turned around and put his hands behind his back. He refused to talk about what happened, the report said.
The deputy also tried speaking to Nosal, who lists an address at the Sandalwood Condominiums, who stated she was not willing to discuss what happened and refused to answer any questions. Nosal said Bass threw something at her while he was damaging her vehicle, which injured her eye. She had dried blood on the left side of her cheek, a small laceration on the corner of her left eye and a small abrasion on her left knee, the report said…
