A woman working at a car dealership in Florida got arrested after police caught her swapping fake money for real cash at work. The whole thing was recorded on body cameras and the TikTok video has been watched more than 710,000 times online.
Police officers from Leesburg showed up at Jenkins Nissan dealership on October 23, 2024, after the managers found some fake bills in the cash register. As per the TikTok video, they checked the security cameras and saw 24-year-old Nykeria Latanya Rene Sims doing something strange. She was taking money out of her green backpack and switching it with the real money in the register.
When the cops walked up to her desk, Officer Navarro asked her a simple question: “Do you know there’s cameras in here?” Sims told them she had no clue why they were there. The officers put her in handcuffs and told her what they saw on the video. They explained that she was caught putting money from her bag into the register and then taking the dealership’s money out.
She tried to explain but it backfired
Sims told the officers she was just getting change for a $100 bill her brother gave her before he left town. She said she did this kind of thing regularly and didn’t think it was a problem. The officer asked her if she really thought it was okay to use the company’s cash register like her own personal bank…
