A Fruitland Park woman was arrested on drug charges after being stopped with fentanyl and methamphetamine in her possession.
An officer observed 34-year-old Kristina May Turner driving a blue Nissan passenger car southbound on County Road 468 at 11:35 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, according to an arrest report from the Fruitland Park Police Department.
She was approaching another officer on the right shoulder of the road, and as she passed, she did not slow down to 20 miles per hour from 44 mph. She was subsequently stopped, slowly rolling for a short time in the process. The officer could see her making furtive movements around the driver’s compartment as he approached the vehicle, the report said.
While speaking to Turner, the officer noticed the top of a single-use hypodermic needle sticking out of her shirt near her left armpit. More units arrived as he asked her to step out of the vehicle. They then removed the needle from her person, seeing it had been used and contained an unknown residue, the report said…
