Dunnellon Home Destroyed in Residential Fire, Dog Rescued Safely

Citrus County Fire Rescue responded to a house fire on W. Evita Lane in Dunnellon Saturday evening. Crews arrived at approximately 8:04 p.m. to find a 2,500-square-foot home fully engulfed in flames, with a nearby RV threatened by the fire.

Firefighters from multiple stations worked quickly to contain the blaze, bringing it under control by 8:45 p.m. No injuries were reported, and a dog was safely rescued from the home. The house and its contents were deemed a total loss.
